Decision Making and Costing for Controllers - 2 days
This course - originally called the "Advanced Controllers" program focuses on more management accounting aspects of the Controllers position. Key topics discussed include topical concerns over presentation and interpretation of financial information and how in many cases, using traditional methods this may lead to incorrect management decisions.
The program focuses on the challenge of financial management in a business environment where process management and delivery of services is often not well served by past methods. Issues such as costing for poor quality, value chain management and activity based costing are discussed along with lean management and other more advanced topics. Of particular interest to many attendees is the discussion on costing of shared services and issues in areas such as IT management.
